As a UMGC professor teaching CCNA prep (CMIT 351), I explore whether the Cisco CCNA remains valuable in today’s IT industry. With research data and job-market insights, this article shows how CCNA still provides a strong networking foundation and serves as a stepping stone to careers in cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and advanced infrastructure.
